Hi....

I'm new to the forum so please be gentle, ha-ha.

I bought a new Starcaster short scale bass. I love the look, size, etc. Here's my problem. When I plug it in it sounds heavily distorted. I can't get a clean sound. Is there something wrong with this puppy or is it me. I use an Ampeg 350 watt amp. I have a Jazz Bass with Fender noiseless pickups, an Epiphone with a humbucker and a Squier Jaguar with Dimarzio P-bass and J-Bass humbuckers. They all play fine.

Any thoughts on why my new Starcaster isn't being nice?

Thanks in advance,
Bill

No, i don't. Hmmmm...try changing out the instrument cable and also a different amp. Distortion still there? Send your Starcaster back. :(
