........and only available in Japan!

This blue colour is awesome - why give us the bollocks colours that exist ex-USA????

If you pay the money for an American Deluxe, you can basically chose between: beige, white, black, brown or no colour

I hang and shake my head.

There's an American Design Experience program allowing customers to design their own instrument.

Please note, the ADE's options (and colour choices in general) are limited - unless you choose the more expensive Custom Shop route!

I know about the ADE but it is unfortunately only available to Americans. Even then, it is pretty limited.

They just seem intent on having boring colours for their best instruments - I might have to go to MM or Sadowsky.

+1

Because of production costs and profit.

There are exceptions in the form of special edition runs.

And blue paint costs oh-so-much-more than white, black, or red?

There are a lot of models on that Fender Japan site that we don't have.

A HOLLOW BODY JAZZ BASS! How cool is that!
Check it out!

I understand that it costs more to have more colours. If you limit it to 5 colours, why have beige, white, natural, black and 3TS?

Three of the colours are effectively the same.

Have: black, 3TS, natural, beige and blue / red / green.
