I've had thses strings on almost 4 weeks now.....played 3 nights, about the same amount of band rehearsals and a few hours at home practicing. I have to say.....I like them. A lot smoother feel than the Fender 8250 5M's I was using. Not quite as bright, but not bad at all. I think I may just stick with 'em.

Thanks for the tip linnin. :D

You're welcome, grho50! I've got some 90+ playing hours on my set and they are super growly and very meaty. The Nickel-Iron "Alloy 52" (52% Nickel) generates a very large magnetic field, and the larger hex core also contributes more moving mass for a 'hotter' signal. And they last!

I am going to try a set. I have used the boomers before and loved the sound but found they went kind of dead quicker then the Daddarios .105's I normally use.

Just posted my two month 90+ playing hour update on this stringset. Just cannot beat the Nickel-Iron "Alloy 52" for longevity. http://www.talkbass.com/threads/praise-report-ghs-big-core-bass-strings.1071346/

GHS is going to be releasing some exciting new stringsets during Summer NAMM.
