I'm impatiently waiting for Fender uk to their finger out and get my new bass to me. I always use flatwound strings and I was wondering if anyone had a reissue Coronado and fitted a set already. ideally I'd be looking for 45-105 and fit properly - so no no wrapping the speaking length of the string round the post or the coloured wrapping coming over the nut. So if anyone has any suggestions for a good fit please let me know

or maybe someone could do me a huuuugeee favour and measure the string legnth - bridge to corresponding post on the E and G strings...... that would be a great help

thanks

Bax

In this month's issue of Bass Player magazine this bass is reviewed. The writer attempted to fit flats but couldn't fit the string through the hole in the bridge even after shaving off the silks. He also reviewed the Starcaster and had no problems putting flats on that one. I'm about to go get some for my Starcaster now. Hope this helps, maybe you can find the magazine and review the article yourself. Best wishes.
