Seems like there isn't a whole bunch of enthusiasm over this new line of basses. I would have expected much more 'buzz' on these new models. Reviews on youtube seem to be fairly positive but not overly positive.

I am in the market to get a new bass and considering one of these or possibly a Deluxe Precision...not sure still. I feel the dlx precision is a safer pick. Unfortunately I'm not where either of these basses are available to try....so I will ultimately buy online from sight only. Any thoughts/opinions on pros/cons with each model?

No leftys, but if there were my credit card would be in danger. The Dimension appeals to me as being a more advanced redesign of Leo Fender's Music Man and G&L originals. New unique features such as the all new pickups; pre-amp, and compound radius are very compelling. 8)

Man- I want those basses to sound great - but........ I don't know what the deal was- maybe the guy was playing the Dimension thru a First Act amp--- I listened to a post from U tube or something where the bass was being played and it didn't sound right. NOW HOLD ON-----I'm not saying it sucked. I was listening to it on my comp speakers. I guess the best way to hear it for me would be to just hitch hike over to the GC and plug one into an Ampeg amp and see how it feels and sounds. They are ever so nice looking. And it would be great if it was like an answer to the EBMM basses and you could hear the G string. That would be nice. Then you'd have the sweet P bass sound, the killer Jazz bass sound, and the cool honk of a Dimension.

The first thing I noticed about the Dimension is how it resembles the bass Wolfgang VH played on the last Van Halen tour. The headstock is different, though.

I think a five string american dimension bass will be my next bass. How does the neck profile compare to a jazz bass or precision bass?

The new Dimension basses just don't do anything for me. I love the looks of a classic Fender. If it ain't broke......

I ordered a Dimension IV HH yesterday. It is on backorder. Seems nobody has these in stock. Looking forward to getting it.

Received my Dimension on the 7th. I haven't had the chance to plug it into my amp yet. It sounded great in my bass trainer. So far I am pleased with it. Today will be the big test. I have a performance today. I also have performances Sunday and Monday, and doing some recording on Tuesday. It should be broke in after this weekend. 8)

Played my first gig with the dimension. Sounds great. Didn't take long to get it setup. The only problem I have, and its a minor one, is the balance. Seems like the neck dives a little more than my precision. I recommend looking into the Dimension if you are in the market for a new bass. The videos online don't really do the guitar justice.
