If you have to have mutes you should get a can of that spray foam stuff and put a bridge cover on and just fill up the whole inside of that cavity untill it just starts to come out over the front of the saddles. I'm sure it would do a fine job.

Better still-- rent one of those insulation blowers from Lowes and blow insulation in there. Cool,

OKAY get a grease gun and fill that puppy up. Nice.

OH-- whipped cream fill up for when you don't need a lot of muting. Sweet.

Wet leaves from the tree? Yes.

Or perhaps a hot dog or an egg roll, in case you get hungry during your gig. Or an eclair if you're having a sweet tooth.

C'mon now. I've been thinking and seriously I think that probably the best thing for string muting on a Fender bass would have to be in all certainty = Goat Cheese.

That's funny, right before I opened the link to this thread I was thinking about a cheese stick as another option. :P

That's cool, but I don't know if I can forgive him for that damned "Walk The Dinosaur" song, or whatever that crap song was (or Was Not Was :P ) called back then. :P The video didn't help matters, either.

Is Don for real? I saw him do an interview lying on a couch with his wig and that hat and sunglasses on. Odd. Who says you have to be normal anyway?

That's his real hair in dreads. I'll bet he's bald on top, and that's why the hat all the time. Micky Dolenz also wears a hat all the time now too.

I've got tons of hair. I got it cut last year about this time, and it's grown back down to my shoulders again. I guess I need to get another haircut. 8)

But I do have a hat and sunglasses!

It's amazing. Except for the fact my hair, what there is of it, is kept very short. Except for the fact our bodies are completely different in size and shape. Except for the fact our facial features are different. And of course I am older. But except for these minor details, we could be twins!!!!

I mean, we both play bass.

AND, believe it or not, I have sunglasses, too!

I wonder if we are related?

It is amazing, Steve! And we're both leftys too! I'll bet you've also got a hat. We are related! You might recall our Ultra-Great Grandfather named Noah. He had a Big boat.

I remember you guys. I used to run the other way. Things change once one gets older (me) and starts to figure things out. :D
