Historically as we say-- I've owned over 50 basses but Mr Nylon has owned 10,717. OH YEAH !!! Just kidding Mr N. I think it's closer to 50. :D :) :o

As I look at the "Not a Pie Chart" I notice that most people own 2 basses or 9. What the heck is up with that? I walk in the burger joint and I say "I'll have 2 or 9 please". It's normal.

Hey SV! It's a pretty good size number I've had in 45 years. I will though say, I learned a bit from each one. It took me 44 years to not want to play Gibson basses any longer. And other than a Fender Fretless Jazz, or a Fender Pawn Shop Mustang Bass, a Fender Precision is where I'm the most comfortable with. One bass I can never replace was gone, a long time ago. That's called History.

Yeah- I had like # 20 Travis Bean bass. It's long gone. So is the Tele 68 . No more will I stupid out and sell . Of course I say that now. Maybe because I'm not down by the creek living in a tent in the snow with one of those old campfire coffee pots that's black on the bottom from the burnt wood that smolders up and is making me cough while I try to keep my hands warm in the fingerless gloves I made from a sock. :?

Mine was an Italian EKO Bass, with a special hand signed autograph, on the back of the body, from a well known guitarist in 1969. That was the "Electric Lady". She was stolen. OH WELL.

I own two millenniums' worth, thank you very much. One from this millennium and one from the the last. Quite sufficient for any need - stage or studio.

I'm at two basses. Am. Std. Precision, and Am. Std. Fretless Jazz.

I don't have any from the 1940s or the 2020s.

I am catching up with Affprod with 26 Fender basses in the herd and one in transit. Pictured on left is Heartfield labeled DR4C and Prophecy lll on the right. Both of basses are unusual Fenders as they are neck through with 2 x 2 headstocks. The DR4C has 24 frets. These are definitely at the top of my Fender favorites along with the Performer Basses.
