No they are not.

The Modern Player Series (these are both in that series) are made in China. Read the reviews on the Modern Player stuff. People love this series, it is a hit!

@brotherdave

The MP Coronados do not have a wildwood finish option and lack off a 12-string version.

Did Fender plan offering those extras in the form of a FSR?

Good question. I gave up trying to figure out what FMIC is going to do or not do a long time ago. LOL

The recent ELVIS signature flattop had a Wildwood recreation of sorts, so they can do Wildwood in China but I don't know if they will or if that was a one time thing.

The market for 12 strings isn't as strong but I would not rule anything out.

It was rumored that a 5-string version of the Starcaster bass will be introduced together with the 4-string model.

Apparently FMIC had other plans and the Modern Player Starcaster Bass V was finally abandoned.

From what I've read on another forum CBS did a Starcaster 5-string prototype which sported a 5-in-line headstock. The project never came into fruition because of the Bass V fiasco.
