Following the success of the Modern Player Dimension Bass introduced recently Fender launches an American Deluxe variant with active electronics and a ferocious-sounding special-design humbucking bridge pickup. Available in 4 and 5-string versions, with the choice of a compound-radius rosewood or maple fretboard with 21 medium jumbo frets, select alder or premium ash body.

Sweet bass! :P

I thought the American Deluxe Dimension came only with a single humbucker, here's a twin humbucker 4-string with a 5-way selector bringing in a huge variety of tonal variations.

This USA Deluxe Dimension has strong Pedulla Rapture influences!

I think Fender will drop the Dimension from their Modern Player series since the American Deluxe is way better than the MP originals.

I wonder if Bill Lawrence was involved or not in the development of those Dimension humbuckers... :roll:

That High-Mass bridge screams BadAss for sure. :o

The new basses come in 4 astounding finishes: Natural, Black, Violin Burst and Cayenne.

:arrow: That sure is one SEXY bass! Love the humbucker p'up. I've seen those type of pole pieces called "staples" over on Seymour Duncan's site. The compound radius asymmetrical neck is totally intriguing. A lefty in cayenne for me please :mrgreen:

Firstly there is room in the line for the MP versions. Just because an American version existed never caused them to drop a MP before did it?

Secondly, Bill Lawrence is a good guess. I'd be surprised if he was involved due his health. Michael Frank-Braun would also be a good guess especially for the MP triple blade setup. Dunno who for sure but as long as we are guessing.... I'm going with Michael Frank-Braun, on at least some of them. These new pickups all remind me some of the Big Block pickup he designed. Just guessing though!

@brotherdave

It's possible to have a 22-fret Dimension with abalone fretboard dots, RSD bridges and more colour choices in the future?

Ditto!. Not a bass player myself but it's a nicely crafted concept and quite an interesting range of specifications across the line.

The Dimension Bass would look much better without a pickguard! :P

I'm really digging these, especially the single pickup model. I may be crazy for saying this, but I even contemplated selling on of my basses to get one. I'd like a natural finish with black pick guard. I do however wish they came with Jazz necks rather than a p bass neck...although I have been playing my jazz with P neck a lot lately.
