That wouldn't surprise me. I would think it would make sense if they were, anyhow.

I listened to the demo videos and I really liked the sounds I heard from the Dimension. The Jazz with the selector knob was interesting, too. I know I mentioned in another post I wanted to get a Jazz, but hmm... Decisions, decisions. :P Damn you Fender, you're going to make me sound like a politician by potentially flip-flopping. :P You would come up with something else now, wouldn't you?

Yes I was going to say with regard to our conversation in another thread,.......the Modern Player Dimension & Jazz Satin would be worth checking out, & at $600 street price .... you can't go wrong... :) I also agree with regard to the demo video's Fender did a good job..

The basses have nice bridges on them. Apart from that there is nothing too spectacular among the new additions.

I don't see how anybody could not be excited over the new revolutionary 'Triplebucker' pickup!

This is for James' comment. I'm having a technical error using the quote feature:

That's true. I like the option of switching to get different sounds. It's almost like having two or three basses in one. It's something to consider. If I were to get the Jazz version, it would definitely be this new satin one, because of that selector option and I actually like the finish on it. Especially, the black one.

Personally I would add a tone shaping pot on the Jazz because of those strong Roscoe Beck influences (particularly for the pickup switching and the high-mass bridge).

Give them time, they're usually a little late on these things, it seems.
