I have asked Fender to reverse the reverse Jaguar and make it a lefty with those big beautiful 'Big Block' humbuckers. It doesn't look like they listened, so I'm thinking of this other Leo Fender design:

$650 Vs. $700

I've always wanted a G&L, so I just may pull the trigger on that one. Hmmmm.....

Big Block humbuckers look more MM-like!

 Yes they do, but I have never desired a Music Man bass. G&L = Yes. MM = 0

Linnin we don't always agree on everything, but I do side with you left handed players on the obvious lack of models for you guys. While you make up a smaller part of the market. with all this CNC stuff looks like they could flip anything to do a mirror image pretty easily. I think the production delays involved in switching from right to left and back to right is the bugaboo.

Thanks Brother Dave, that's very kind of you to say.

The lefty G&L won't be in stock until the middle of Jan. 2013, which is plenty of time for Fender to manufacture the Jaguar Bass of my desire.

Hop to it Fendermen! I am waiting.

I would if they would do it for a grand! But, NO!

So Fender loses yet another lefty sale to G&L. I wish they were reading, but we know that they aren't. :(

+1!

CS instruments are extremely expensive.

Linnin,

You have helped me before, so let me be the last to weigh in, as usual.

The fact lefty's are at a premium, in fact, sucks. One of my 86 Performers, a really fun bass, was one such exercise where the owner drilled a hole below the neck pocket and another on the tip of the lower horn. There was no string reversal unless a new nut was installed, so I don't know if the operation was successful. The holes allowed me to pick up a really nice player bass for half price, but I bet there was a frustrated lefty out there somewhere. I am actually a lefty, but play right.

I have a second generation friend that specializes in lefties. I will query him on your jag question. If I get an answer worth posting, I will. Stay tuned.

Best,
Steve

Their price is like a taunt. "Look what you can't afford, loser."

I had the pleasure of playing a reverse Jag, it was awesome, great neck, finish and sound, I didn't like the loss of frets though.
