Well, I posted on the Jazz and Precision sites, might as well hit this one to because my main bass now is a Jaguar. Think that qualifies as an "other".

Any other Jag bass owers out there?

Not an owner but a huge fan! I still love my P-bass but definitely considering one of those jags some time in the future!

Yeah not sure if the Jag is an "other" or a J-Bass. The Fender Zone is definitely an "other" I would assume. Hoping to get my Jag by end month.

My "other" Fender basses are both 'parts' basses. A Fender Performer and a Fender Coronado Wildwood (which is soon to become a six string guitar).

Hitting the third post here with another 'hi' for the "other Fender bass" forumites, with:

The Roscoe Beck V twins.

Both born in 1997.

A shoreline gold all-original with a darker-than-usual pau ferro board

A defretted candy apple red with a lighter-than-usual board

Hi DarrelT! I know you from the FDP because you're the only other guy there with a Performer and I know you're a Coronado nut too.

I own three Fender Performer basses and love them. The Burgundy Mist Metallic one is the first bass I ever bought and still my primary instrument. I gigged with it in cover bands for many years and it has held up beautifully.

Before deciding to get my Sting precision, i was close to getting a fiesta red Jaguar bass. It was active so it had a wide range of tones. I noticed that the E when plucked seems to have a chorus like tone...but i loved the blocks on the fingerboard. well made instrument

I too was close to buying a Jaguar Bass, however, I went with a Geddy Lee Jazz instead. The Jag I tried has a bunch of issues that really put me off. For one, the pickguard was warped, which I found very unusual, it was convex in the middle even though it was screwed down fully. However, I love the sound and look like you do; I love "classic" looking basses with block inlays (hence the Geddy). Maybe one day I will find a nice Jag to settle down with...

Those performers are pretty sweet looking basses. Look like a clean break from traditional Fender stylings.

I've really enjoyed my Jaguar Bass, but still prefer my P-Bass Special as my main 4-stringer. I like their versatile tonal range.

I also like the active/passive versatility of the Jaguar, but prefer the active tones for their punch.
