Hey All,

Recently picked up Pawn Shop Series Reverse Jag Bass (2-color Sunburst) and I effin' love this thing! What I don't love is the fact it ships with only a Deluxe gig bag and Fender customer care suggests going the custom case route through G&G. I'm not down to drop another $300 on a case for this thing, any suggestions?

I've read the Standard Jag Bass fits nicely in a TKL Triumph Series hard case along with a Fender Tweed Jazz Bass case. Unsure if the "Reverse" body style will do the same? Not so much worried about the body, thinking that would be an acceptable fit (maybe?) but that 32" scale may leave too much gap near the headstock? Can someone point me in the right direction here? Thanks for any help!

EDIT: Lefty Jazz Bass case perhaps....

The southpaw Jazz Bass case made by G&G *may* work but I think it'll be a bit longer than your Jag Bass requires (the Jazz Bass has a 34-inch scale length).

Finally joined TB today so I could post this question, actually got some great info over there. Figured I'd share it for anyone who's facing this problem in the future....

Fender makes a Pro Series P/J Bass hardshell case with a universal fit for right or left-handed instruments though the interior isn't pictured often online. It's one of those with the large center compartment (2 compartments in this instance) and neck support down the middle of the case. I'll link Elderly since they have a nice shot of it but it can be had cheaper with a little searching. Sorry if this violates any forum rules, I'm not affiliated or promoting any dealer, just happened to find the best pic there.

Here's some pics from the TB member (Immigrant was his username, super helpful dude) where you can see how nicely it fits.

That's cool that you found one, unbelievable that they don't sell one with it, and I agree that a $300 case is too extreme.

Those are some very cool basses, would love to try one sometime. But my "fun" budget is at the point where I'd have to sell all 3 of the basses I have now just to get one. Maybe someday :D
