It is definitely better..eventually I will probably have it looked at but its way quieter now! ..Now if you could just splain why in the heck there are blisters on the inside of my fretting fingers...I have played acoustic for a long time..calluses like teflon..but NOT on inside of fingers..and might I add I wish I bought a bass a LONG time ago..I love the silly thing! Im cheating like heck with mainly root notes but its a total hoot!

Lucy,

You've got some splaining to do! Not really.

First of all, any bass you buy will cost you more money, the only instruments that won't cost you are accordians and Sousaphones.

I have the answer to your blisters,

I'm sure you have round wound strings on now. They will tear your fingers up.

Glad to hear you're having fun. Doesn't your amp have a headphone out?

Strings ordered! Funny you should ask about the sousaphone Hypothetically I may have played one in school many decades ago..LOL..hmmm maybe thats why the odd attachment to the bass..
Headphones you say...I do use for my strat occasionally but its just not fun for the bass! In all honestly I only have one neighbor in hearing distance and they are music lovers and have music on all the time.. for some reason seem to enjoy my various noises
Thank you for string advice and that price was WAY lower than some I had priced..

You're welcome.

A lot of the people here use them and like them a lot. You'll find a new range of tone that will give you some new horizions! I've tried different flats before and the one I definitely don't like was Rotosound. They were the stiffest, tightest strings I've ever used. I took them off after a month or so. I was afraid they were going to screw up the neck.

I can see you're one of those people that don't read the agreements before you sign up for things, like the Fender Forums. While it's a fun place to come to, they get EVERYTHING about you. That's how I knew about the Sousaphone.

Okay I just watched 4 youtube videos about changing Bass strings..Bass players are a Little unbalanced .and I hope its not catching..HAHA! Not a flippin one of them did the same thing with the exception of opening the packages. Some cut the string off about 3 inches past the post, others did not..some hand wound the string to start it others didnt..I guess I go with plan B when they get here and just wing it..basically they have to go in the post hole and wind around I believe I can handle that!
