I'm sure you'll be happy with it. I would recommend a proper setup by a good tech. The neck on mine is a bit tempermental and need the occasional tweak.

Those Vintage Modified are ccol Jazz basses. That's a solid maple body on that bass which is very unusual for any Fender bass.
The whole bass should cost more than it does.

I hope you have fun with it.

Ok a quick question for those of you who actually play bass..as opposed to myself..anyways..I have a tiny rattle on my low E string..not a fret rattle..Intonation is dead on I can tell the rattle is in the area of the bridge..are the saddles supposed to be perfectly parallel because the other 3 appear to be..any suggestions would be appreciated I do notice the rattle is more discernable when the string is not fretted..also before you ask..it does it up and down..okay Im done now..haha

Do you know of anyone near you to get a set up? new strings and a proper setup will make a world of diffference. The saddles being parallel strikes me as odd, not that it isn't possible but, i can't remember ever having a guitar or bass where that occoured.

I know this is just a occaisional bass but you deserve an instrument that preforms properly.

Okay I am a bad splainer..haha I know what I mean..each of the 4 saddles appear to have two small hex set screws in them..the A D and G are basically the same height on each of the two set screws but the low E the one side is higher than the other..tomorrow It would probably be good to post a pic...HAHAHA!

That could be the cause, what you could do is, make it the same as the other and see what happens. Really won't hurt anything.

That's because you're having far more then just "Occasional Fun" there, young lady! You've got a lot of 'splainin' to do.

Hey Mona, did you ever buy yourself a decent bass amp?

Okay I got a so so amp..it is good enough to continue driving my neighbors nuts..lol..I was a cheapskate for now I ended up getting a better deal on the peavey which is actually not half bad sounding when i use the vintage selection..I have a reallllly bad feeling this "occasional" thing is going to end up costing me more money..I dont understand it..Bass is ADDICTING..I think Im going to need a 10 step program!..I take lessons for my Strat and my new scale motivation is..The Bass..Phrygianed my brains out today and then rewarded myself goofing off on the bass..haha

Hello! My name is Linn, and I am a Fender electric bass guitarist. I have had the bass player's addiction for 42 years now, and I can not stop. Yes, I own a Fender Bass Amplification device.
