I paid 150 cash for this. I know it has decent parts at least . The weird thing is that I've been told that the serial number on the neck plate ( 606191) dates it to the 70's as a (USA?) P-Bass. The pics came out blurry, but its Blizzard pearl color.
I'm guessing its a Mutt of some sort.
The very top pf the headstock ( not the face) has some Blizzard Pearl on it too, so maybe the neck was refined.
Its in great shape, frets are great, and plays and sounds real good.
Its all I need really, as I play guitar and just need somthing to lay down studio trax.
So any help ID'ing this would be greatly appreciated. TIA.

No matter what it was probably a good deal-- People want 75 or more for a BA bridge these days. The tuners look to be USA Tuners. The knots in the neck are suspicious but hey - they had quality control probs back in the 70's. It's got a brass nut. That's not a bad thing. It's all a matter of taste on that. The decal is not factory placement of course. It's hard to tell without seeing the neck plate. There are all kinds of fake neck plates out there . The funky cut- out in the pick guard by the truss adjust is just ... Yuk! Is it an allen screw or X pattern truss nut?
I just saw an old bass made by a guy in California that had a very similar thumb- rest. I can't quite get into a clear T rest but that's just me.
I'd say it's some kind of parts guitar. That doesn't have to be a bad thing as you may know. If it's all good play the heck out of it. It looks nice except for the big round 1st grader pencil looking cut- out. But I'm not hatin'. Take the flats off it for the good of mankind and put some rotos on it. Flat wound strings blow no matter who uses them -- sorry sorry to all the flat wound heads. I had to voice that opinion. I have no self control.

The body cuts on that bass look very similar to my 74 p bass.
If you take the neck off --see if Torres is stamped in the pocket or on the heel . Good info is usually in the pocket or on the heel, Look at the pots- get the numbers off them and contact Bro Dave. He is smart . He has power. (Star Trek Next Gen. quote )

I think that is a vintage white refinished body and they also refinished the neck. Would be nice as mentioned to see a closeup of the neck plate and the pot codes and general solder work. Would be nice to get neck pocket photos if anything there and the neck paddle marks if any are left.

The white pickup covers are 80's. So we know it isn't original, but still for the price it is a great buy!

I think the decal is cool. No way were they trying to pass it off as original condition. It is a neat looking bass.
