Hey, all! New to the forum here, but a devoted Fender bass guy forever. I have a 64 p, and a 2006 FSR jazz that are my mainstays!

I just scored a MIJ Fender Precision Lyte. I got this bass as a "beater" and modding platform. A couple of quick questions (hopefully someone here can help me out!)

1. Tuners - If I wanted to replace these with ultralites, should I get the 3/8 or 1/2?

2. Bridge - the one on mine is pretty pitted. What direct replacements are out there?

Thanks!

I don't know for sure about the tuners as I've never messed with them.

The bridge on these was a FOUR screw bridge and so far as I know was only used on the Lytes and almost impossible to find in mint condition. It is an oddball as most bridges used on Fender and other basses use either 3 or 5 screws. Used they usually go for 80 to 100 dollars. Finding a new one is nearly impossible. I'd have yours buffed and re-plated. That will be less than buying another used one.
