It has no serial number. I'd like to know how old it is and it's value. We're keeping it b/c it has a wonderful tone. It is Sunburst and it has the dome resonator in the center. It plays electric and acoustic. It has a hollow body. I swear I will put up a picture as soon as I can. It has 2 calligraphy f's and it looks like the Fr-50 guitar but it is the Bass model.

The bass was made in 2003 as part of a Fender Special Run. One owner looked into it and was told by Fender that their "best guess" was less than 300 were made. Laminated flame maple back and sides, Mahogany neck, Rosewood fingerboard. Scale length is 27.7", so it's a shorty, but as a guitar player I find it super comfortable to play. One humbucker positioned over the chrome resonator. Volume Tone. Sunburst finish.

I bought mine after seeing a Dr Pepper commercial with Garth Brooks and some other hillbillies sitting on a front porch jamming. The guy over Garth's right shoulder is playing this resonator bass. Here's a link if you want to check it out http://www.myspace.com/video/vid/4458469 I tracked one down on the internet and have had it ever since. As far as what it's worth, it's worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. :)

Excellent memory and eye for detail. Thank you very much for the information it was much appreciated. The bass is my Daughter Ingrid's and she loves it too much to sell ever. Beautiful, rich tone. Sweet. In the future Ingrid and her band ROLL MODELS are going to play again on whotune.com . If you want to listen tune in to the next show. It is Internet web cam playing at it's rawest and it's good. :D
