Here's my little beauty. And I have to bore you with the details on this one.

A friend of mine purchased an old farm about 15 years ago. On the first weekend he found this bass, in an old chipboard case, in the hayloft...!? It was corroded badly and the paint was coming off in huge flakes.

I stripped the body and had it done in this blue at a local auto body shop, I was able to "re-shine" up the bridge and had the pickup cleaned up by a local luthier, who also straightened and reset the neck. One part I had to replace that couldn't be fixed were the tuning machines since they had corroded in place. The pickguard is also new and decorated with my kids hands/names etc.

Been playing it for about 15 years now, stays in tune great, good sound, fun as hell to play. Got the bass free and the total cost of rebuilding it was around $275 plus $75 for a case.

I am in WI Rapids, about 2 hrs from Green Bay.

How much, out of curiosity, are they asking for it?

If I get a chance this week I'll give you an update man. I gotta return my daughter's leased violin - go figure, she doesn't want to con't learning it. Oh well, she's in swim class this summer, and gymnastic, I guess practicing her violin is too much ( she's 6).

Give me some time, I'll post what they want for it. :D

Thanx, just interested, probably don't need another one. I see 'em on Ebay going for $500 plus in most cases.

WI Kissfan, sorry man, I thought I replied about the price. That bass is gone but it was tagged for $625 case extra. Sorry again, I really thought I replied to this.

No worries, it would have been info just to be curious, no plans to add another one to my stable. They are fun little basses though.

Thanx
