Now I've found the deluxe p/j special, but that's the only p/j bass from fender that I know of so far. Of course I don't have a lot of free time to look all that much. So if you know of any good, nice soundin p/j basses, they don't have to be from Fender, but nothing like Ibenez or squire, let me know.

You mean P/J pickup configuration?

Fender makes the aerodyne jazz bass, aerodyne p bass, Tony Franklin signature p bass (fretted or frettless), Duff Makagan signature bass, American Deluxe P bass and more all with the P/J pickups.

Quite a choice if you ask me.

yeah that's what I mean. really, cuz i don't know if it wasn't just the fact that i wasn't looking hard enough, but I couldn't find any. I guess I could check but I assume those can come as 5 strings right.
