Paid 40$ and waited a month for LaBella to make these up and the ball ends are too small for the holes in the tailpiece. ARRRRGGHHHH!

The guy at LaBella said those are the only strings they have ever made for Fender Bass VI's, and that they should play fine.

Technically it is hanging in the hole ( and that picture is under tension) but it looks like it is too small. I guess I'll string them up and see how it goes.

I don't think Daddario makes flats for a VI. They make roundwounds, but I love flats.

Go to hardware store, look for very small washers. Might work.

Might want to try GHS next.

Just an update:

Strung/set it up, and they are working fine, even though the ball ends seem small. Sounds great. Very plunky sounding bass with a pick. Nice round tone with the fingers. They are holding fine in the holes.

Correct, the D'Addario XL156 set is roundwound. I think the Labella is the only set of flats.
