I have a borrowed Precision Bass Lyte, made in Japan, 1990-1991, according to the serial number. Does anybody know where I can find a manual for this so I know what the eg knobs do, and does anybody know what this is worth? It's in nice shape, hardly use, red with gold hardware. Sounds really good - the electronics seem to work fine. It does have a pretty big ding in the paint job and somebody scratched their initials on the back.

I kinda like this bass, but it belongs to my daughter in law. I don't want to rip her off, but don't want to pay more than it's worth!

The serial numbers never match up to when the Lyte's were actually made. Ever. The only true way to tell is to pull the neck off and it will be stamped on the end of the neck, Month, Day and year. I've had so many of them and the serials have been as far off as 12 years. lol But, not a single one has ever matched up. Fender has some of the worst dating out there. Even the online dating is off, especially with their Japanese instruments.
