Beautiful growler you gotta have, Mr. Nylon.

This sunburst rosewood neck Jazz would form an excellent pair with the candy cola maple neck Precision, IMHO.

Alas, the candy cola P was sold.

I really like a lot your idea to put a white pearloid pickguard into that sunburst beauty.

Easy way to solve the problem, Rickenbacker 4003.

Hello, just bought my first bass ever. Yesterday was the first time I ever held one. Been playing 6 string about 4 years now. I bought a Squier Jaguar Special Bass, Has active pickups & EQ or how ever it is said. Paid 149.00 with new G.B. It is the 329.00 list or 200.00 at Musician's Friend one, Trans Red. I like it, it has loud deep bass. Very good beginner bass, I think it will be a keeper. Ever since I was a kid, I wanted a bass, so at 53 I bought me one. The Owner and the Tech both played it for me, so I know it does what I want. I tried out around 10 or so different kinds and a few different brands. I used the pentatonic scale for 6 string and it gave me a idea of how it feels and sounds. They say it is set up perfect and intonates rite. I did like the 5th string low b, but could not justify the extra cash, till I know for sure I like bass. I wonder if any one could answer this for me, I have read the how to identify the guitar year. But mine say, ICS12045085. So I take it, it is a 2012 Indo build at the Cort factory. But don't know what the letter S stands for. It wouldn't stand for Samic would it? I would think they would be two different company's. I would not think it would stand for solid. Thanks for any help or feed back. Tom. :)

The bass section on the Washburn forums is a little slow, is it that way here also? The store told me that there are six bands wanting for every bass player. Don't know why more people don't love the bass. But they sure want to crank the bass up. Tom. :)

Got a new bass the other day. An Ibanez fretless. I put D'Addario nylon strings on it and love the sound. Very nice neck and pups too. The balance knob for the pups allows for very subtle tone adjustments.

This photo is of my actual bass. Sweetwater sent them to me.

WOW! modwiz; That's a beauty. Congrats big time. Sweetwater is a good way to go also. Best of playing with it.

Modwiz, that is a pretty sexy bass. I have two of the SR500s, mahogany, perhaps in your icon? But the color combo on this one is just plain cool. I remain a devoted Fender fan, with way too many for a mentally stable person, but Ibanez has made some nice basses, no doubt. Enjoy!

I am using nylon strings largely because of you. :D Same brand too.

I love your new bass.

I have a SR600 Walnut stain bass. The Bartolini's are very nice pups. Very happy with them. The necks on these Ibanez's are just a pleasure to play. I do look forward to getting a passive pup bass. A Jazz bass would be nice. The new modern player W/1 hummer pup coming out looks good. Even has the extra fret I like. :D
I do use rechargeable in my basses. They work very well and not tossing something toxic makes me feel a tiny bit better.

I'm without a Fender bass at the moment. I'd really like to find an all black mid 80's Precision Special fretless, MIJ. There's a zillion of them out there, so it won't be a problem. It's kind of an iconic look that nobody has used, yet. Super solid basses, too.

Telling the truth...I've never met a bass I didn't like.

Yeah, I still like the short scale Gibson.
