I am trying to sell my 1978 Musicmaster and I was wondering if anyone has bought one or sold one lately? I would like to get a fair price for it. It is in decent condition...the paint is pretty scuffed and since it is cream, you can see the scuffs pretty easily. It is also pretty yellowed but you can only tell if you take the pickguard off. The nickel hardware, as to be expected with nickel, is tarnished but it doesn't look horrible. I probably have to replace the pickguard since I tried some artistic endeavors that didn't come off too nicely. Other than that, it works excellent and is in good condition. So....any help would be greatly appreciated.

those are basses though, so i assume their prices are not the same. I have a regular 6string guitar. That's not that much at all. I think I paid about that ($325) back about 8 years ago or so. I forget how long I've had it, but I thought the value would go up some. I've seen some go on ebay upwards of $700, and I was hoping that to be more of an accurate number. I want to unload it to get another guitar that I would like better. This particular Musicmaster is definitely not for me.

Have a look at this ! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/COOLEST-100-ORIGI ... 33644f1134 thats a pretty old one though, then theres this one at the other end of the scale. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Fender-musicmaste ... 27b8354511
Both basses and guitars seem to be under the same category.
