Max,

Try www.ishibashi.co.jp

Last year I ordered a 3 tone sunburst Jag Bass with tort pick guard and I received it 4 days later! They also have Olympic White with Tort guard.

I just got a Red One. The fit and finish is fabulous--like an American Deluxe or a Rickenbacker Bass. The sound is beautiful, right out of the box (told store--when you get one, call me--I don't want one that the kids have wracked). Tone is awesome and flexible, strings, frets, and fingerboard awesome, thin neck great for my smaller hands. It is so smooth in every way, and great thumping clean notes on low strings. Harmonics are out of sight--I was able to tap out several tunes with no effort, intuitively ("Over There" and "Taps" can be done--really bugle like sounds). Gripes are: 1.--on a bass of this caliber, they ought to give you some kind of case; 2. very difficult to fret the last frets (closest to the neck pickup). The bolt on neck gets in the way. But---the pictures do no do it justice. It is a thing of beauty in appearance and in sound performance. The buttons and and scrolls take a bit of getting used to--but that's the unique part of this. Extra cool feature--you can turn off the active electronics--and if your battery dies, it's still as operational as a non-active Jazz Bass, like the top of the line Squier (not the cheapo "J" Bass.
