Well as soon as I get paid this week, I decided I was going to buy another bass. What would you suggest be a good one?

Cool, what price range are you working with? What kind of sound do you want to get? The bass has to feel comfortable to play as well. Look around, the bass that is just right for you may not be a Fender, or anything you even contemplated. I rent the route of Fender, Gibson, and Epiphone. Found I liked the G&L SB-2.

Sounds like the bass you already have is fretted. The fretless bass is a whole 'nuther world. I'd get the four string if you're new to this...

What bass do you currently have, what kind of music do you play?
