Has anybody had problems installing Dunlop strap locks on Jaguar basses? I know it's easy, but the thought of drilling holes in my new bass freaks me out.

why did you get the Dunlop strap locks?

you should stick with Fender, Proline, or Schaller. The design is MUCH better, way less chance of lock failure with the pull button unlock feature.

Regardless of why he got Dunlops, he has them, and telling him he should have gotten something else, doesn't help him. (besides I use Dunlops, and I haven't had ANY problems with them, they work just fine.)
To the OP - The drilling is not really a big deal, all you're doing is deepening the hole that's already there by about 1/8". Just make sure you have the proper size bit as stated in the instructions, take your time ,and you should be OK. One tip - the instructions say drill to the depth of about an inch, to be sure, measure off an inch on your drill bit ,and wrap a piece of masking tape around it at the inch mark, that way, when you go to drill the hole, when the tape meets the top of the instrument's surface, stop. That way, you can ebsure you have drilled to the proper depth. I've done it a number of times with no problems. Well, except for my MIM Strat, I was careless and drilled the hole too big, it got stripped, But , it was an easy fix with a piece of a toothpick, and it's all good.
