Hi Everyone,

I just bought a 1994-1995 crafted in Japan, Fender Jaguar Bass. I know a lot of people make mods to these in the bridges, tuning pegs, etc. I was just wondering what people have done to theirs and what they think about their changes. Any info would be appreciated, I'm kind of new to the guitar playing (only about 1.5 years), and its my first "good" bass. My old one was a Squire P-bass with modded pick-ups. But anyways once again any info would be great. Thanks!!!

Usually on Japanese basses, you will benefit from electronics upgrades more than anything else. You have to be very careful in replacing things like tuners, bridges, pickguards and other hardware as they are often different from those made in the USA or Mexico. Often USA/MIM parts won't work without mods to the instrument or the part. I'd suggest a pickup, preamp, pots upgrade if you do anything to it at all. Maybe start with pickups first and then upgrade the preamp, pots and jack as you can afford to throw more dollars at it.
