I am about to buy this Fender Bullet bass.
Can anyone tell me wether this is a real bullet bass?
No serial nr. on the headstock, made early 80's.
Bridge and jazz bass pickup replaced.

Again, I'm not an expert, but that logo and the lack of any other Fender markings to verify is definitely suspect.

The pickups don't look right either. The split pickups in the pickguard are usually smaller than those, and I haven't seen one with a jazz pickup in the body either.

And the pickguard is not right at all. My guess would be no it's not real.

If the price is right, it plays and it's comfortable for you than by all means go for itl

That's what made me worry too.
The owner says, the bridge was changed into a Schaller bridge.
The jazz bass pickup was also changed into a Seymour Duncan.
And he also changed the pickguard.
Gonna wait a bit and see.
He's asking some 350 € for the bass, that would be about 465 $.
THanks anyway

To me that seems a little high, based on the condition and some of the other "issues."

In my opinion, US$465 would be on the high side for a Bullet Bass in original condition. This one is so heavily modified that in my opinion it is worth much less.

You can do a lot better for $465.
