Hey guys. I just wrote a blog post that I"d like to share with the community. I'm not trying to spam these forums, just wanted to share something I had a ton of fun writing.

10 Bad-Ass Bass Players That Changed Music Forever

I only picked ten because the alternative is to make a list of thousands, and I didn't think that would make sense. The comments are open. Hope you come by and check it out.

All influential and talented players. Hard to qualify the "10 that changed music" since it's so subjective.

Just an example, Les Claypool is definitely a talented player but I really don't appreciate Primus' music at all.

And I would throw Paul McCartney in there, his playing with the Beatles stand out as an early example of the bass being a "lead" player. But I can put him in when I write my own article, right?

Nice work.

I can't argue with what you have...I'd go with 15 or 20 tho myself, but that's when I start my own blog right ;)

Thanks guys. In all honesty, I wish I could put 1000 or 2000 bassist in there, and I have favorites that I didn't put in. Of course some can be debated, like who did more for bass playing as opposed to another. But hey, you're more than welcome to add your favorites and the reasons why as a comment on the post. :)
