Post subject: Can somebody help identify my bass?

i purchased a bass at a pawn shop and i looked up the serial numbers and found it was a 1991 model but other than that i know nothing about it. can somebody help me out? it has a 2 x 2 head stock and has emg select pickups.

I don't know about a Zone bass - I think they were later than '91 and had a regular Fender headstock.

It could be a MB-4, although without pictures it's hard to guess.

Fender now sells the MB-4 as a Squier model. Does yours look like this, minus the skull and crossbones graphics?

For some reason I want to say its a prophecy bass. I think the bassplayer from Mastodon used one in their earlier recordings but switched to I believe an Ibanez after it was stolen. I could be wrong just a possiblilty.
