Back in the Fender family well sorta. I've been playing a Squire VM Jazz for the last year and half however this past Wednesday I brought home my new Fender Highway One Precision Bass in 3-tone sunburst. I've come full circle as my first "real" bass was an MIJ Fender P-bass which I bought in 1989 and played it until it was traded in 1995. So after 14 yrs I'm back and can't see myself leaving ever.

Well Gnosticbass, welcome home.

Enjoy your Highway One is a smooth ride!

There is no shame in the Squier VM series. Everyone raves about them.

You should see some of my junky basses. You'd chuckle. I was a total Fender guy till about 5 years ago. I never really left the family...but I did run around on the side a little.

I know what you mean. I never really left the Fender "design" family. After my first Fender P-bass I aquired a G&L which I played for 9 years and the went with a pair of Ernieball basses which I played for another 5 years until I obtained the Squire VM last year and now I have the Highway One. So you could say a long roadtrip but I didn't stray to far.
