I can't find any website that sells replacement necks for a mustang bass, i sometimes see them on ebay, but they are usually "vintage" and over priced.

If anyone knows of a website that sells mustang bass necks, please share. Thanks!

I don't know of a site that sells Mustang bass necks and I suspect that if there was they may cost more than a new Mustang bass.
You may be able to have one made, but that is going to be expensive, too.

What are you looking for in a bass neck that you don't get with your existing neck?

well my existing bass neck has a broken trustrod.
I took it to a local guitar shop and they said they would have to take the fretboard off to fix it, and doing so "would cost more than buying a new neck" but im not sure if they knew how much mustang bass necks cost

but if i did get one made, i'd want a maple neck with a maple fretboard, like some of the vintage mustangs have

A broken truss rod is devistating!

Ok - this is how you get that fixed.
This is assuming that youhave the old style Fender truss rod , that adjusts from the bottom of the neck.
Determine where the break is along the rod. If it is near the rod anchor point. do the following:
If the neck is a rosewood fingerboard, you have a competent repairman remove the finger board between the nut and the first fret.
The rod is screwed into a t bar at the end of the rod which should be under the first fret. Chisel away the wood above rthe rod and expose the anchor.
Disconnect the rod if needed, back bow the neck and slide out the broken rod. Have the repairman installa new rod, anchor and nut.
It sounds easier that it i.s Good luck.
