I just got a Fender Jaguar Bass, ordered it on line. I haven't seen any hard shell cases made for this bass. It only comes with a gig bag. Do you just use a standard Jazz or P Bass case for these  or is there some secret society that is keeping these cases secret from the general public? No mention of a Jag case on Fender.com just P&J Cases.

I have a TKL Triumph Series case for my Jag...I picked it up at my local guitar shop for about 75 bucks. Fits like a glove!

Sweet bass TriumphRider! 8)
I got the Hot Rod Red because I have an Olympic White American Jazz bass. That Olympic White, what a gorgeous color right? As soon as I ordered the Red Jag I had 2nd thoughts; maybe I should have gotten the black? The coolest thing about the Red is the red head stock. I wish they had maple necks, that would look great with the white or red. Anyway looks are only part of it. These things sound great, right? The Jazz is amazing too.

Anyway I'm going to look into the TKL case, looks like a good case with lots of storage. Is it sturdy? Thanks again! :D

Its a good case for the money...I'd spend a little more money and buy something more rugged if you are traveling with it a lot, but for transporting my Jag to friends' houses to jam its perfect.

The red was my 2nd choice...pictures don't do the red or oly white any justice!. I have a sunburst jazz with tortise pick guard, so I went with the white to keep the vintage look going.

I agree on the maple neck...Black Jag with the Geddy neck would be perfect. 8)

Black with the Geddy neck, that's a classic look. 8) Fender should hire us for their design department!

I can't get over how great your Jag looks in that picture. It sells itself and that's without hearing one note played!

Thanks for your help. Music sweet Music! :D

Very sharp Jagbassman! How much did you pay and where? Another Jag bass question. I just used my Jag at rehearsal for the first time and is it me or do these things crank? My amp at rehearsal (Ampeg B2RE thru Ampeg SVT 15E) normally has to be tunred up past half with the master and the bass turned all the way up when I use my American Jazz. With the Jag and the top switch flipped up and the 2nd dial (on the right looking down) turned up, this thing gave me so much headroom I couldn't leave the amp on half or the bass on full. This thing have a built in db boost? Don't get me wrong, I am thrilled, :D big fat juicy bass. Only complaint is not nearly as much sustain as my beloved Jazz Bass (body thru strings) but I'm looking into a BadassII bridge to get a little more out of it. A much better bass than I originally thought. I got it for the looks and it's starting to hook me in! I've owned Alembic, Rickenbacker, Yamaha; Fender Basses RULE!

Whoa Jagbassman, that looks SICK with the white pup covers! Where did you find those? I've thought about getting them for my Jazz, but haven't had much luck finding any.

Hey Triumphrider. You have a badassII bridge on your Jag. Did you get to play it before the badass was installed or did you buy it that way? I'm just wondering if it made a noticeable difference. One drawback I'm having with the Jag is a lack of sustain. At least compared to my Jazz bass. I'm hinging my hopes that a better bridge will result in my dream bass. Other than that I am loving this bass. Looks good, sounds good, plays good.

hey pmano, I played it for a good 2-3 months before I put the BAII on there. The new bridge helps out some with sustain, but its still not quite the same as having a string-through-body setup. It also seems to give it a little more of that low-end Fender "growl." Its definitely a step up from that little stock bridge.

It also allows for a much lower setup, which makes playing on the neck feel even faster. After I installed it on my Jag, I got a BAIII for my American Jazz Fretless as well.

Thanks TriumphRider, I'm going to go for it. If it works out well I'll do the same for my Jazz.

Hey pmano, Thanks for the kudos. The case is a Fender that I purchased at a local shop (you could probably pick one up at Guitar Center). The bass came from Japan about 2 years ago and got it landed here (BC, Canada) for about $900 CDN (Around $750 US at that time). I swapped out the stock bridge and installed a Gotoh 201 the result was a noticeable added sustain. The white PU covers came from Guitar Parts Resource. As far as the active bass EQ goes (wheel type pot on the right) I too have noticed a considerable gain if i rotate it more than about 1/4" , especially if I put the pickups in series.
