Hi there helpful musicians!

I purchased a Kubecki Factor in 1990, at a rare time when Phil Kubecki cut a deal with Fender that did not work out. Unfortunately, I never upgraded the electronics like Phil suggested, so I am out looking for an electronic schematic for my Ex Factor Bass. Unfortunately, it is not listed on the website other than a manual, which did not include a schematic.

At issue is that the solder joints on both output wires failed- go figure. I am a disabled fellow with little cash, so a friend said he would try and fix the sucker, but needed a schematic. I fear the loose wire may have fried the active electronics :(

Does anyone know where I might find such a document? Fender has always been great with support and I was surprised this item was not readily available for download. I did a search on this forum looking for help, but did not see any pertinent threads.

Thanks for your help!

1. Have you tried contacting Phillip Kubiki for help?

2. I can't see how a broken output wire is going to fry any electronics in an active bass, I don't see that as likely.

You need to compare your bass to a working Kubicki and have a reapairman solder the right wires back in place.
This should not be too hard to accomplish,

Wow I feel for you my friend ... Why not try to email groucho@[nospam]hinterlandmusic.net and ask him to send you a Pic of his wring maybe he will do it for you !!

If not I know how to wire it properly ... Fixed two in my life time ... Sounds like a hot/cold soider issue not the curcuit board. With a maginify glass check the printer curcuit board for any burn traces as too hot of a iron can damage the board ... If I get some time, I can send you a hand written schematic as these instruments are very sensitive to very hot sodiering guns and you need a heat sink them properly when repairing them ... Too complicated to explain in this forum ...
