Do Jaguar basses use up the battery even if the active mode is off? I used to leave my Jag bass plugged in all the time, making sure to turn the active mode off, but my battery still went out in a couple months. Maybe it was just that the battery that came with the bass was really bad.

Leaving a cable in a stomp box with a 9 volt [even shut off] is supposed to be able to drain the battery--so, I suspect same is true with Jag Bass with active. However, several months is pretty good for a 9 volt, and the great thing about the Jag is that if the battery goes dead, the passive controls work just fine, unlike some other instruments that are dead ducks if the battery goes. But, you did remind me to unplug the cable from my Jag Bass.
