If you havn't already, get some copper shielding tape (Stewmac sells it, among other places) and redo the shielding on the Jag bass, and I also suggest rewiring the ground into a consolidated ground (often called a "star ground") into the output jack's ground pin, rather than having it be only on the bridge. Really quieted my Jag down drastically. Putting in a BA2 this week, can't wait to hear the difference from that!


Also looking into replacing the preamp and adding a stacked pot with pickup blend at some point, but those are long term issues and the bass sounds so good already I'm not in a rush (unlike fixing the hum and sub-par bridge issues).


I've never been happier with a Fender product, despite it's minor issues that were easy to fix. This is one of the finest Fenders I've had considering the price.
