That is a truly beautiful VI.

Which is a truly beautiful instrument.Thank you for sharing.

And in this opinion, the Bass VI is Fender's "Best kept fantastic secret" instrument.

Out of the park, between the goal posts, nothing but net...cool.

If more people knew how exceptional and flexible and toneful and versatile the Bass VI is...

(and Fender had a true champion for the Bass VI in sales and marketing?)...

...there would be a bleep of a lot more bass VI owners. In addition to Custom Shop Bass VIs, there would be American Standards and Standards and Squiers.

You know what ?

I'm a great fan of the Bass VI since I heard Jet Harris (the former bassist of the British group The Shadows) starting a solo career in the early '60s playing a Bass VI to great effect (Diamonds, Scarlett O' Hara, Besame Mucho , etc..)
Since then I had two MIJ Bass VI but alittle bit weak on the pick ups and then this dream comes true one..
Always a sheer pleasure to play.
I would compare it to the cello in a classical orchestra.

Alain
And now the OW turned into a creamy white ....

Awesome Bass VI! Beautiful craftsmanship. I love the string dampner too. I hope to scrounge one up for myself soon. Thanks for your great pics! It is a pleasure viewing!

'Personally think of it as the tenor saxaphone of guitars, tho the cello anaolgy is spot-on.
