Hi!
I´d like to share with you 2 issues with my Jaguar Bass (great instrument btw).
a) Control plates (both vol/tone and Active control plate) doesn't line up to the pickguard (I'm able to see the body interior though the hole). 3 pups switches line up perfectly well.
b) Control knobs are loose, and the allem screws are rounded.
PS: I bought it 2nd handed, without its hard shell case and it has some body scratches.
I know that some pictures might help, but I wasn't able to capture the problem with the camera lens.
Manufactured in 2014.

Any suggestion is welcome!

Your bass has been buggered by the original owner. You'll need to use an 'easy out' to remove the damaged allen screws and replace with new or just drill them out and replace with new knobs and attendant allen screws.

If you can't remount and realign your control panel yourself, seek out a competent luthier or technician to do so. Could be the pickguard is suspect and may turn out to be the offender that needs replacement.

Good Luck!

I was able to remove the knobs, but I don't I couldn't find new screws. I believe they are the same size as the JB bases, maybe it's time to order a new pair of those. In regard of the pickguard, here it is the weirdeist part, I checked every component of the insteument and it is 100% genuine. Before I send it to the luthier I'd like to know if this is a common issue on Jaguar American Standard issues.
