It's something to think about down the road. Actually, I was thinking about originally getting the previous incarnation of that bass, which was the Vintage Modified Jazz, which AMS still has for sale, but I wound up getting that Precision PJ Bass, which was cheaper on sale, instead. This one is a little different, than the Vintage Modified model, from what I've noticed. I haven't done a side by side comparison with the specs, but I have noticed a few cosmetic differences. Different control knobs, neck finish, and this one comes in Sunburst, which the Vintage Modified did not. I don't know if the pickups are different or not, I'd have to look.

There can be some options there.

I checked and the new Classic Vibe Jazz has Alnico pickups, and the older Vintage Modified just says it's just Fender Special Designed pickups, so who knows? I noticed that they didn't have the Vintage Modified 70's Jazz on the site anymore, other than a listing for a left-handed model (which also said "notify me when in stock") and a 5-string model. I looked at the specs for the lefty, assuming it has the same pickups as the right-handed model. I imagine all of the Vintage Modified models will be out soon, if not already, and whatever is left, say like at AMS, will be discounted and then gone there, as well. They have a Classic Vibe version for pretty much all of them now, that I've noticed. Even my Tele Custom has a replacement.

I'm glad you can keep track of what has what, and what's here, going, and coming out. Image

It's usually even an accomplishment when the website is up to date, and you actually see things that were announced for release listed, without waiting 20 years. :P

I'm surprised that the Rumble 800 came out as quick as it did, after first hearing about it, unless I missed something earlier on.

It kinda' took me by surprise as well. I was surprised I was able to get mine as quick as I did.

Yeah, you didn't have to wait months for it.

Exactly! I had just somewhat started to investigate it, and then decided to go for one. When I placed the order for it, it really went quick also. A week or so, and it was here. And like I've been saying, the 800 HD is a fine head to push through the SVT-410HLF. No problems here. I don't believe I'd change anything on this head.

It sounds like you made out pretty well, then. 8)

I'd say so. A nice compact head, with great tones, and power to go along with it.

You can't go wrong with that, I think. 8)

The Rumble came with a nice Fender carry bag, foot switch, and a Speakon amp cable. I'm glad to see Fender is really committing to the Rumble Series gear in greater depth.

Wow, it came with a bag and a Speakon speaker cable? That's really good deal, then. 8)
