Yeah, and they even have a factory in Mexico, as well. I guess that's where they make the guitars that cost under $1000, I'm assuming. They do have a few of those models, then there are some that go way up, maybe in the five digit range. I've seen some list for around $7000. You know, that's a lot of damned money for a guitar, but hey, if you can swing it, why not? I'd just be paranoid to even gig out with it. I remember they used to have the Sigma guitars, which were their Squier or Epiphone, back in the day. That company is still around, but I don't think Martin has anything to do with it, even though there are copies of them there. I don't know how that works out, maybe they don't or can't go after people like Rickenbacker does, when copies of their instruments are out and about.

Mexican's know quite a bit about acoustic guitars. They should turn out some fine ones.

Yeah, they do have a rich culture that involves that.

They really do. In a way i can see them making Fender electrics as well. My Super Bassman is a MIM head.

Yeah, I don't think they make any amps in the US factory anymore. Maybe those expensive Eric Clapton model they put out a couple of years ago.

The MIM Super Bassman looks, and sounds fine. Then again, the Made in China Hartke HyDrive is the same too.

I suppose it doesn't matter where it's made, as long as the quality control is good on it.

That's about the way I look at it any more. I have to give a big thumbs up to the Mexican Fender folks. The Fender Special Edition Deluxe PJ Bass I have is such a well made bass. And like said about the Super Bassman being a top shelf Fender head. Travel transit time has to be a lot better from Mexico, than China. Making availability better as well.

That's true, they don't have to go across the Pacific Ocean to get here, and who knows what's going to happen with this tariff crap and potential trade wars, if that's still going on.

I have a very good feeling for some, or all Fender amps being manufactured in Mexico. I myself can't tell the difference between China, and Mexico manufactured Super Bassman's. I have now had both of them.

Sometimes, they had some made in Indonesia, too. I think the last generation of Rumbles were. My Rumble was Chinese made. I've had it since 2012, and it's still going, so that's not too shabby. Of course, if you compare that to even some Peavey that's 30 or 40 years old and still going, that's not much of a comparison.

I wasn't to thrilled about the Marshall MB series manufactured in Vietnam. They looked good, but they were crap. A good reason why they aren't around any more.

That was a shame, I think. It seemed like they had good potential, but just bad quality control issues. I wonder why that was? Usually Marshall puts out decent stuff. Maybe they should have made them in China instead, or at least made sure all of the bugs were worked out first.

Almost the way things went with bass based Marshall amps, not up to the par for a long lasting bass player's amp. The could have had the bass world by the balls, but let it slip away.

Apparently, they had some decent bass amps before those, though. I forget the name of them, but I have seen them in various places online. They also had a 400 watt all tube amp at the same time as the amp you had. I'll bet that thing was a beast.
