I'm looking for players who have experience and comments on the Fender Kingman Acoustic Bass. Need acoustic bass for tour, amplification will not be available so hoping Kingmans have good sound unplugged.

I recently purchased the Kingman Acoustic Bass. First off the Jazz style neck and fretboard is awesome. I quickly found it extremely comfortable to play in a live setting. I needed to do a LOT of setup to make this bass playable. I like it as an instrument, but you really need to slam it with a pick if you want to use it unamplified.

Thanks for the great input and your English is fine! I love the jazz neck idea as I've been playing those necks for over 40 years. Volume may be less of an issue than I thought at first. This is a remote video shoot and the only other instrument is an acoustic guitar. The vocalist is the attraction (One of the best in America according to some music critics.) I'm just there to add some thickness to the sound.

I think the Kingman is the right bass for this project. Now, if I can just get Fender to put fret markers in the fingerboard instead of frets I'm in business!

Thanks again!
