Have American Deluxe Dimension HH IV. Have had it roughly 3 years and had to wait about a month for them to get one. I've honestly only played it 5-6 times do to the fact that I can't get any lows out of it. I have cut mids and treble on bass and amp, boosted bass on both, and still sounds like a guitar. Playing through Mesa Engineering head into cabinet with two 15" EV's. plug in my G&L and pictures in neighbors house rattle. (She's deaf and that's the only way she can tell if I'm practicing.)

When I bought it, I had it set up by certified Fender guy in Jacksonville, FL and he said he's never seen (or heard) anything like it. I had him change strings before setup to some kind of new chrome brights that bass player mag was pushing back then (Ernie B's I think) but don't think that alone could be the problem. I have some flats on order, but can't see why strings alone could cause this.

Is there anyway to check pickups and preamp to see if they're ok? Also, if I wanted to switch them out, what would be best to fit the pu cutouts and give me good tone? Has anyone switched them out, yet?
