I'll bet they do. I was going to try to get a Rumble 500 combo at one point, because it is lighter than my Rumble 350, but I had to try and sell my Orange Terror Bass 1000 head to do it, which didn't sell. They had also raised the price on the Rumble, so it wound up not being worth my getting rid of that head and also be able to make some extra money on the side from that sale. Still, if I could, I'd get one of those amps in a heartbeat. It's just not so easy to sell gear where I live, especially when people try to low ball you to the point of being ridiculous, or just no interest at all. The lesson I've learned from that is when you are going to buy something, make damned sure that it's really something you want, because you might get stuck with it, or take a loss trying to dump it.

I know what you're saying. I'm in Central WI so selling can sometimes be a real pain. I am lucky in that about an hour away there is a music store that treats us pretty fairly on trades etc. He gave me $275 credit off the purchase of the new Rumble and than when I looked at their site later he was asking $350 for it, not bad considering they'll likely negotiate that price down to sell it.

I was happy with the sound of the Line 6 but 98 lbs vs 35 lbs just became a no brainer. And the poor design of the Line 6 with the handles on the side meant getting it up and down the stairs was a risky proposition, no hands for the railing.

The 2 10's in the Rumble really move some air, love the sound out of it.

Yeah, 98 pounds and staircases aren't the best of combinations. It's bad enough with 65 pounds of the Rumble 350 and a very narrow staircase and side handles, trying to avoid smashing my knuckles against the wall. I couldn't imagine tacking on another 33 pounds to that. Oddly enough, my cab with an 18" Celestion seems a lot easier to move, or at least more compact and less heavy. The only thing with that was I had to pick up a 2 x 10" cab to pair with it because I needed more high end to my sound. That makes an extra trip for me. I really should get one of those dolly carts that I could haul everything together with.

Anything to make the gear movement easier, is worth it. Stairs though, are still stairs. One of the biggest PITA's going.

Is it at least a straight stair case, without any curves in it?

Yeah, but at the top of the stairs is like a T, where there is a door on each side, but the wall is slanted up there because it's technically the attic level by the roof. The doors are around the corner of the ends of the T, in kind of an alcove area. It's a tight squeeze if you're hauling anything large and you can't even fit a queen size box frame for a mattress through there, barely a mattress at that. It's also where our bedroom is, since we have the whole floor. We don't actually own the house, my girlfriend's mom and stepfather do, but they use it for a summer home kind of deal.

So much for simplicity at the top of the stairs. OUCH!!!

Yeah, the one thing that I'm going to make sure of is the next place we ever get isn't going to be in some attic level somewhere. :P

I'm glad my place is a single story. Stairs, and myself don't seem to see eye to eye.

I imagine so, especially with having a huge, tube amp. I'm glad I've gotten into a pretty good shape from my daily exercising, it makes go up and down them a lot easier on me, although it still does suck to do so with that Rumble amp.

I guess I'm in a little better shape myself than I think I am. At least on flat floors, I can still pick up and carry the head (65 lbs.), or the cab (66 lbs.) around. I do know I could never Roadie gear around anymore as I was capable of doing, when it was my work. So many moons ago at that. The one good thing about the 65 lb. head, it's at least a bit contained in size, as compared to the cab's larger size.

That's the thing about the head, it might be heavy, but it's not some wide box that you have to carry outwards, either.

It has a bit of width to it. It's the same width of the SVT-212AV, 24 " across, 10" high, and 13" deep. A bit bigger than say a Bassman 500/800.

That would make sense, because of the tubes and all of that jazz. The 500 and 800 amps have the Class D power modules in them so they don't need much real estate, although they do have the tube preamps, but those aren't too big.
