Yeah,......... that or the same color as a stop sign, or a red traffic light.

I could've gone with a Walnut, or waited for the Ebony. But the Heritage Cherry, SG body style beckons me, like no other.

I will say, Gibson does a really nice red finish. 8) Would you say that's the most popular, or common finish for that style of bass since it's been around? It seems like you see that finish more than anything.

The Heritage Cherry is the most seen, I think over faded, walnut etc.

It does seem like that, especially vintage models.

For whatever reason, the Heritage Cherry has been over the years one of the more popular Nitro finishes, especially in SG style bodies. The SG guitar was originally the Les Paul. But,........ Les Paul didn't like the looks of it. So Gibson made the LP style we know, and renamed the SG.

I remember reading the story about that. I guess he didn't like the design. I don't know why they decided to drop the original Les Paul to begin with, considering how iconic it became.

I gave my daughter my step dad's Gibson Banjo. He called "Hippie Music". He was glad the day I showed him my first Gibson EB0. Gibson ruled in our house.

I wish I could have said the same, but that's one brand I never was able to get my hands on. I've had a few Fenders, at least. I'm doing the Squier thing now, but I'm actually cool with those. They've been making them pretty good, I think. At least the ones I have.

I guess I'll have to do a shot of a Walnut SG Std. with ETB92M Nylons on it fairly soon. Maybe Mon., or Tues. Image

You're going to have one to go with the cherry model, or you swapping it out for it?

I'm all Gibson again. The Heritage Cherry is staying, and the Walnut is taking the place of the Mustang PJ.
