Yeah, I've heard about that. Another thing, I'm not sure how popular guitar still is with kids wanting to even learn to play. There's always the DJ thing or total electronic thing where you don't even have to play anything but use a computer program. Then again, they always claim rock is dead but it seems to come back one way or another. Also, you don't even have to play rock to play guitar. Even rap or hip hop uses live musicians, including guitars and basses these days.

I like to think kids would still like the real rush of playing.

Yeah, there is something to be said for that. That's why I never quit and never will.

All the best to that!!! I just like still being able to play at home as I do. I've had offers from locals to play in orchestral shows, but I just don't have the interest to play live anymore. Studio jobs aren't holding my interest any longer as well. I'm ok with playing what, and when I want to.

Why don't you want to? You just don't want to haul your gear around, or you just burnt out on dealing with other musicians (which I could understand, having to try and find people to play with that won't flake out?)

Dealing with other musicians is the thing that grabs me. Some of the players I've run into, who didn't know that I was possibly going to try out for an orchestral grouping, had the egos that Bruce, Baker, and Clapton didn't have. There were a few times that I just stood there, and was with a friend already in there. I don't need it. Damn Keith Moon was a easy, nice to rap with guy in a studio. Some of these guys are flip'n dorks. I'm just to old to deal with some people I guess.

On a Mustang PJ note, I guess we may closed the doors on this place. Money is tight, like with others too. So,.......................... the PJ was returned today to acquire the long scale Standard Jazz. When I get the Jazz tomorrow, hopefully, I'll start a new place to hang out.

I see you're point with that. One thing that I've noticed it's a lot easier to work with people that are professional in the "famous" sense than a lot of local yokels. I suppose that's a reason why they were able to get that far in the first place.

That's too bad. Well, you never know, it might make another appearance if things are better as far as that goes.

It could show up again, but at this time, and place, it doesn't look that way.

I've been pretty fortunate in the past, to meet some of the people who are, or were blessed to be exceptional players. And I really can't say that they had giant egos, even for who they are, or were. Just decent people, who made it performing.

I ordered one from SW. Olympic White, with a Pau Ferro fretboard. Maybe a Monday show up on it.

That's interesting. I was looking at those the other day. They have one in an orange finish that I thought was pretty cool. I kind of like the offbeat colors like that, besides the usual. Are you still keeping the other basses, or you have to sell anything to get this one?

I'm adding this one to the bunch. Keeping the PJ, and J. There's a special Seafoam Green Mustang PJ made up for Sweetwater also. It looked cool, but I have the Sea Foam Metallic already, and I like the Olympic White look on the Mustang PJ. The new Orange one does look different for sure. I'd still like to see a Mustang PJ with a Maple Board. And the burning story that all Enquiring Minds want to know, yes I have a set of ETB92S Nylons coming in from GC.com.

They had a Mustang in Seafoam Green? I have to take a look and see what that is like. They used to have certain Mustang models with a maple fretboard, that I remember. They used to have some Squier models, too.
