Yes, I was surprised that it didn't have a string through body bridge too. That's the one thing that bugs me about it.

Agreed, I liked the string through the body on the Pawn Shop Mustangs.

I'm out of the running for the Mustang PJ bass.

Me too. I wound up liking the sound of the Squier Vintage Modified Precision Bass PJ bass a lot more, but even that one is going to take a backseat for awhile, since I'm getting a hollowbody bass.

GO HOLLOW-BODY BASS. You've been on the fence for a while on getting a hollow-body. There are some nice ones out there. I can say you showed me several ones that are out standing basses. I'm doing good with a 34", so that's where I'm at with the Mustang. But it's still a knock out bass.Image

Yeah, I've wanted one since I was 16 years old, so it's about time to get it now that I have a chance. 28 years is long enough to wait, I think. :P

I have this Olympic White Mustang PJ to arrive after the Thanksgiving Day holidays. I've succumbed to getting one after all.

What made you change your mind on this one?

I was able to play a Torino Red one locally. I like it. Just not the Torino Red.

That's cool. I take it you dumped the Precision to do so?

Nothing gets past you man. ImageSee, I told you it wouldn't get by Paul!
I like the other basses more than the Am. Std. Precision.

Yeah, I know you told me you're more of a Jazz Bass guy, usually because of the neck, isn't it?

Yes, it is. The Mustang has a 1.5" Jazz size nut. The Spl. Edition Deluxe PJ Precision has a Jazz neck on it also. So that would make all four of my basses, Jazz neck configurations.

Yeah, I know the regular Precision neck can be a little wider.
