Yeah, that one had the string through the body bridge, didn't it? Those were cool looking basses. It's too bad that they discontinued all of that. From what I've noticed, they've dropped a lot of bass stuff for both Fender and Squier. It's been looking like slim pickings, lately. They certainly had more within the past few years, at least with alternative models to the usual standard P or J bass.

The one thing I don't miss on the Pawn Shop Mustangs, the competition, racing stripes on them. It was a nice string through the body though.

I think the only one that didn't have the racing stripes was the sunburst model, which I suppose made sense. That would have probably been the model I would have gotten, if I could.

Those Sunburst were very nice, and well finished also.

Yeah, I thought they were pretty cool.

Still a pretty hefty 8.5 pounds plus bass.

That's not too bad, compared to my Schecter. The funny thing is ever since I've been exercising and losing weight, my back hasn't been locking up on me and that bass doesn't bother it as much like it did. I haven't played it extensively, though. I couldn't tell you how it would do if I played an hour or so standing up. I've been mostly playing on the hollow-body.

I'm not playing a bass for a bit. Your hollow body is a back saver for sure.

Oh yeah, I didn't tell you, since you were out of action, I finally got some flats for it. I realized what a pain in the arse the bridge is on it, since it doesn't have the typical holes to string the strings through like a Fender bridge. You have to set in some sort of notch under the bridge, and it wasn't easy for me to get it to stay hooked on there. I had to get my girlfriend to help me, since her fingers are a lot smaller and she could fit them under the bridge to hold it in place. The E string I didn't have trouble with, and it strung up quickly, plus the A string, but the D and G were being bastards. At least I don't have to change them too often. :P

It sounds pretty good now. I got that hollow-body tonality that I think needs the flats, or at least nylons with. The rounds weren't terrible, but it wasn't the same.

You did well with the Flats. Some Nylons like D'Addario, give a Flats sound as well.

Yeah, you know, I'd still like to try those out some day. I'm not sure on what bass, though.

I'm liking the Nylons on anything I play. But that's just me.

My only concern would be the thickness of them, but I do like what I've heard with the Rotosound demos with them. If i'm able to try out a set and like them, then I might switch over to them as well. You never know what can happen with things like that. It's not like I'm married to any of my gear or anything like that. :P

I don't know the gauges of other Nylons, but the D'Addario ETB92 Nylons are, .50, .65, .85, .105
They fit most regular nuts with no problems.

That's not so bad, as long as they fit.

Yeah, it would help if manufacturers would give the gauge sizes of the factory strings so know how much higher, or lower gauges you can go in different strings.
