Yeah, I imagine the E string would be the most problematic, since it's the thickest one.

As long as it fits in the center string peg hole it's ok.

Yeah, just hopefully I'll never have to worry about that, especially in this day of the internet to where you can order from someplace like Amazon, and get anything delivered to you even in the boonies. Still, it's good to know there's all kind of options.

If you ever have to, it's an option.

That's true. You could walk into any music store and they'll have at least some sort of set of bass strings in there, but not necessarily short scale ones. Hell, I remember actually buying a set of bass strings at a record store, that just happened to sell them, and other music gear accessories, many moons ago. I always thought that made sense to have that combination of businesses. What do musicians usually do when they aren't playing music? Listening to it. Of course, now a days you're likely to have to go to a Guitar Center, if there is a shop around, and they usually will have a lot more bass stuff in there, like short scale strings, so that's probably not as much of an issue, other than having to actually go to a Guitar Center in the first place.

In high school, and just after for a while in Fort Lauderdale, the MAE music store had some record albums there. Just mainly the more popular ones. I do remember buying Steppenwolf. The first Steppenwolf album there. It was a local neighborhood store on Davie Blvd. A for real Mom & Pop owned store. It was great.

I've always thought that was cool if there is some sort of shop that has all kinds of stuff in it. Sometimes you might find places like that here and there, usually it's a lot of used stuff, too. There's a place somewhere in Texas that's both a guitar and gun shop, which is what you'd find in a lot of pawn shops, but that's not what it is, I think. I found out about it from the "Texas Country Reporter" TV show, I like to watch that's on the RFD Network. I guess the guy liked both guns and guitars, so he said why not, and got that going.

You know, I saw Steppenwolf back in 1988 on the roof of the St, Petersburg Pier, which was kind of a strange place to see them, but there they were. I remember there were a lot of bikers there, which I suppose was to be expected. That's like the soundtrack to that stuff.

That's it Paul. Other than that it can work.
