I have a lovely sounding American Standard Jazz Bass

I took it for servicing where they changed the output jack as it was rusty and in bad shape.

When i returned home and plugged my bass if found it lost almost half the output power,

Has this ever happened no anyone?

Could it be the new output socket?

Also, how can i get hold of a replacement Pot with SW-1 switch? apparently they are not made anymone

Any info on this would be appreciated

It sounds like you should take the bass back to who serviced it and have them correct their mistake. If you don't trust them to do the work try to get back some of what you paid.

As far as I know you can still get the pots with the S-1 switch for your bass, but I would have it checked out by a competent repair shop before saying that you need a new pot and switch. You need to have your bass wired correctly and you need to find a good repair person to do the work.

I think the advice to take it back and have them fix it was good, however I'm suspicious that the switch just might have been the issue all along.

Another possibility is that the jack needs an adjustment.

You can still get the pot, it is Fender part 0061260000 and in stock at Darren Riley's Guitar & Amp shop among other places. They are sort of pricey but available.

I'm not a fan of the S-1 because they are notorious for causing issues such as the one you described or worse. I'd convert it to a traditional control setup at my first opportunity.
